This image has been chosen for the Edinburgh - Past and Present Exhibition by Mike Pringle MSP - "What a wonderful old house built in 1876 in Oswald Road and called Oswald House. The superb glass conservatories must have been some of the finest in South Edinburgh. Sadly the house was demolished in 1970. What a tragedy! This happened all too often as Edinburgh expanded south in the 20th century. Falcon House suffered the same fate." Mike Pringle.

Oswald House was situated on Oswald Road, Edinburgh. It was designed by Robert Morham for his brother-in-law, James Buchanan, a partner in the famous chemists firm Duncan Flockhart & Co. The House was completed in 1876. It was demolished around 1970 and the site was developed as Oswald Court.
