Craigentinny is an area of Edinburgh located a short distance south-east of Leith. Craigentinny House is sited on Loaning Road near Restalrig. The sixteenth century mansion was built for the Nisbet family of Dean, but in the mid eighteenth century was sold to William Miller, a Quaker seed merchant. The house was extended many times in its history, but extensively in 1849. It survived the damage caused by a German bomb in 1942, is now used by Edinburgh City Council's Social Work Department.
