Description
One reverse view of a blue twill weave silk banner for the Ancient Order of the Free Gardeners. The border is red silk satin on three sides. The fringe is blue and gold corded along the bottom. The banner cartouche reads, 'British Order of Ancient Free Gardeners'. The centre panel features Britannia with a lion and lamb, two reclining women, two widows in mourning, one carrying a child, cherubs above and the All Seeing Eye. Above the frame is Noah's ark under a rainbow, in the top corners, a sun and moon with seven stars, in the lower corners, 'PGHE', on crossed rake and spade, and 'SONA' on crossed sythe and fork; at the bottom centre, the Royal Coat of Arms bordered by thistles and roses.
