Description
A girl stands against a pebble-dashed wall next to some graffiti. She raises both hands to make V-signs indicating 'peace' or 'victory'. She wears a white blouse and dark trousers with a white cord tied around her waistband as a belt. Her dark hair is tied in two long plaits.

This image appeared in a booklet called "Wester Hailes Folk" produced by a Wester Hailes creative writing group in collaboration with Edinburgh International Folk Festival and published by Sentinel Publications Ltd. in the late 1980's. The image was printed alongside a poem about racism.
Many different community groups used Clovenstone Community Centre including the Wester Hailes Asian Club.
