Description

A power station for trams is located in Ponton Street in Edinburgh. The building has a lamp over its arched entrance and there are tenement buildings to one side. On the cobblestone road and pavement in front of the building children play. Smoke rises from the chimney pots of buildings opposite the facility.

Ponton Street is located in the Tollcross area of Edinburgh.

Tollcross is an area in the south-west of central Edinburgh. It centres around the crossroads of Brougham Street, Home Street, Earl Grey
Street and Lauriston Place and West Tollcross.
