Description
A busy scene in Libberton's Wynd, Edinburgh. Men stand at the door and window of the tavern smoking clay pipes. Women sit and stand on the steps, a small boy sits on the ground beneath them. Opposite is a man with two little girls, one of them sits in his knee. In the centre of the image is a barefoot lady carrying a little girl dressed in white, another child walks beside her. Many more people can be seen in the background. Reproduction of a lithograph by Cattermole, George engraved by Harding, J. D. 1854.
