Description
A handmade sheath for a metal-bladed knife. The case is made of gold coloured brass and has a rectangular hole near the end to attach to a belt.

This sheath and the knife it held belonged to Mr. Edward McRobbie from Fraserburgh. He worked as a deep sea diver on the foundations of the Forth Rail Bridge. After losing the knife one day, Mr. McRobbie continued to look for it every two years when doing checks on the bridge. He was lucky enough to find it again about seven years later in the mud at the bottom of the Firth of Forth.
