Description
On the battlements of Edinburgh Castle soldiers talk to groups of people. One soldier in Highland dress which includes bearskin hat and kilt is beside his sentry box while another is beside the artillery piece of Mons Meg, some cannonballs and a small howitzer. The view from the Castle shows many landmarks which include the art galleries of the Royal Scottish Academy, National Gallery of Scotland, the Scott Monument, Princes Street, Calton Hill, Salisbury Crags, Arthur's Seat, the Old Town with the spires of the Highland Tolbooth Kirk, St Giles cathedral and the Tron Kirk.
