Plan for Edinburgh City Hall (Usher Hall), Synod Hall Site - balcony, lower gallery, orchestra etc.
This first floor plan shows the grandeur of the design with two grand staircases on either side approaching the 'grand foyer' on the first floor. A 'grand corridor' runs the length of the auditorium on either side with cloak bays and lounges off from them. There are separate male and female chorus rooms and the chorus seating and the position of the conductor is detailed.
