Burns Monument on the Calton Hill
The Burns Monument stands on Calton Hill, Edinburgh. The monument is constructed from a circle of classical columns topped off with a dome. A small wall with railings runs around the outside of the monument. The street in front is busy with a carriage; stagecoach; pedestrians; a dog and a group of soldiers in highland dress. The background is filled with Salisbury Crags and Arthur's Seat.
