Excerpt from page " Wishart's Green North Back of Canongate 1800 - To let that genteel convenient and moderately sized house of three stories built and long possessed by the Rev Doctor Wishart and at present by the Rev Mr Fitzimmons, called Wishart's Green having grass and trees in front, well enclosed, with a carriage entry from the north back of the Canongate to the house......." Edinburgh Evening Courant March 27 1800.
