Description
An ornate and elaborately decorated monument stands in the corner of St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh. The monument consists of marble columns and pedestals with carvings of angels holding coats of arms over an arch beneath which the stone effigy of a man lies on its back, dressed in military costume. A plaque hangs on the back wall commemorating the man and his deeds.
