Description
The Water of Leith flows through Canonmills in Edinburgh. On the riverbank there is a group of buildings amongst trees and shrubs. On one side the river is bordered by a wall. In the distance Edinburgh is visible with the Castle prominent on the skyline.

Canonmills is an area of Edinburgh situated immediately to the north-east of Stockbridge and the south-east of the Royal Botanic Gardens. The area was originally a separate village with, perhaps unsurprisingly, a history of milling.
