Title
Old tenement at corner of High Street and Cockburn Street after it was plastered up
Description
A view looking across a wide and empty cobbled road towards the tall tenement buildings at the junction of the High Street and Cockburn Street in Edinburgh. One man stands on the near pavement and movement in front of the camera lens has created a ghostly blur against the cobbled street.

The High Street is the section of Edinburgh's Royal Mile that runs from George IV Bridge down to its junction with Jeffrey Street and St. Mary's Street.
Cockburn Street was constructed in the late 1850's to provide better access to Waverley Station from the Old Town and south of Edinburgh.
