Portrait of a gentleman wearing an ochre waistcoat in a deep gilt frame, c. 1820
Description
One oil on canvas bust length portrait of a gentleman with thick sideburns wearing a white shirt with cravat and an ochre wasitcoat underneath a black formal jacket. Depicted infront of a coloured background and framed in a deep square gilt frame. indecipherable hadnwriting on the back of the frame obscured by old repairs to the canvas. The most distinguishable word is 'Dickson'.
