Castlehill is the section of the Royal Mile running from Castle Esplanade to the Lawnmarket in Edinburgh.
Depicts the Laus Deo house. 'Laus Deo' means 'Praise God'. The words were styled in wrought iron. The letter 'R' on the building (and the unseen "M") probably means Rynd and McNaught, the first recorded owners.
