Title
Banner, Leith Shipwrights with coat of arms of Leith and the Eye of Providence
Description
One cream silk banner for the Leith Shipwrights. The banner has painted decoration on both sides. The fringe is blue silk on three of the sides. The banner features the coat of arms of Leith, with the date of 1563 below. The Eye of Providence is on the top half of the banner and has been stitched on upside down. The banner inscription reads, 'MAY THE SONS OF THE TRADE IMITATE THE FATHERS OF ALL SHIPWRIGHTS AND BE EVER TRIUMPHANT'.
