Red silk banner for the Loyal Order of Ancient Shepherds
Description
One red silk banner for the Loyal Order of Ancient Shepherds, Star of Midlothian Lodge. The banner has a green silk border and painted decoration on both sides. The banner title scroll cartouche reads, 'STAR OF MIDLOTHIAN LODGE NO. 2178 L.O.A.S. EDINBURGH & LEITH DISTRICT'. The centre panel features a shepherd and shepherdess to left and right of a shield above which are a beehive, a cross in a laurel wreath and a dove; below. The motto scroll reads, 'CHRISTUS NOSTER PASTOR', with roses and grapes below.
