Description

One blue silk banner for the Shipwrights Provident Union. The banner is decorated with different painted decoration on each side. The fringe is blue silk on three sides. Title scroll reads, 'Shipwrights Provident Un(ion) LEITH. (gold lettering);The Legend scroll reads, 'INSTITUTED THE 17th DECr: 1824' (gold lettering); The banner decoration features shipwright's tools, and the Motto scroll, 'UNION of SENTIMENT IS' (covered in blue silk) 'THE STRENGTH OF SOCIETY' (black on pink).
