Coopers of Leith banner, 1822
Description
One silk banner for the coopers of Leith, 1822. The banner is dark blue and grey and is painted with different designs on each side . This side is the reverse and is painted with the Leith crest in gold, this features a twin masted ship, Mary and Jesus in the centre, (Mary wearing a gold dress), two figures to either side (both in grey), and a temple structure above with St. Andrew in cross. The motto scroll: FUIMUS. (written in black on pink, ''we shall be').
