Flag commemorating George IV's visit to Edinburgh in August, 1822
Description
One flag of blue green silk with a yellow cord fringe, mounted on a pole. The flag is painted on both sides with the same design of a Coat of Arms, with a candle on each side, a pair of doves and an angel at the top in the centre. Along the bottom a pink scroll with a motto among thistles 'FESTA LUCE ... OMNIA'. At the top of the flag a smaller pink scroll with the words 'George IV Rex visited this city Aug 1822'.
