Lochend House is located in Lochend Park, immediately to the east of Hibernian FC's stadium in the north-east of Edinburgh. Lochend Castle stood on the same site but was almost completely destroyed in the 16th century. Remnants of the building were incorporated into Lochend House which was built in the early 19th century. A 16th century doocot, possibly adapted for the burning of materials contaminated by plague, also lies within the park.
