Speed of Light, August 2012
During August 2012, one of Edinburgh's most famous landmarks could be seen in a radically new light. NVA, a public art organisation, created 'Speed of Light' a collective performance which ran as part of the Edinburgh International Festival. After dark, audience members gathered on Arthur's Seat and became part of a mass light installation as they and choreographed runners generated patterns of light and movement. These photographs give a flavour of the event and how the landscape was re-imagined through this unique artistic collaboration.
