The is one of a collection of photographs kindly loaned to us by Bill Hall for our digital collections. It contains images dating from the early 1900s to the 1980s, taken across Scotland.
The photograph shows Alexander Clark jnr, a quarryman, his wife Isabel Wishart standing beside him, his 4 children, one of whom was adopted, and his mother Johann Gentles holding the adopted son on her knee.
