Description
Tram lines can be seen in the cobble stone road
of Broughton Street. Along Forth Street there are a number of commercial premises including Sloan and Son Ltd. Above these are residental properties. Along the pavement there is a line of street lamps.

Broughton was originally a separate village to the north of Edinburgh. It became absorbed into the city during Edinburgh's northward expansion in the 18th and 19th centuries.
