The landing of King George IV at Leith, 15th August 1822, the first visit to Scotland by a reigning monarch since Charles II in 1651.

The Incorporation of the Master & Assistants of Trinity House played a key role in making arrangements for the reception of George IV at Leith as part of the pageantry devised by Sir Walter Scott.
