'The first hoverflies have appeared...
I lifted the head of a cornflower on my finger to look closely at the petals and a hover fly landed on it... tiny... and worked its way between each petal...'
A half-eaten bookmark is stuck into the page, 'The left overs from a snail's breakfast...
The garden looks so tatty much of it flattened by yesterdays rain and wind...
Not an insect in sight... did they all drown in yesterday's rain?'
