Description
The following writing was inspired by wintry objects in the Museum of Childhood collections. The writers are part of 26, a group of writers with a love of words, who have invented a form of writing, called a sestude, consisting of 62 words.

'Diablada'

'The streets blazed with colour on Mischief Night when the demons came to the Andes. Paper pumpkins fluttered in their dusty wake, bony fingers rattled to a crescendo. Much-loved family peered through the bour trees, hands outstretched to touch the living, but met only trails of glitter and laughter. As dawn stole over the mountains, the spirits' dance echoed from the caves.'
