Ethel Moir was a nursing orderly for the Scottish Women's Hospitals (SWH), serving twice between the years 1916-1919. She was born in British Honduras in1885 and brought up in Inverness, she died here in Edinburgh in 1973.
Central Library received a donation of 3 volumes, two diaries and a photo album, in 1968, presumably from Ethel herself. We have brought together these volumes to tell a little more about this woman who left a comfortable life in Inverness to join the SWH in war-torn Serbia.
