Charles Mackinlay & Co Distillers was founded in 1847 in Leith, and had greatly expanded by the late 1930s. They were acquired by Invergordon Distillers in 1985. This picture shows workers loading crates marked 'Glasgow Exhibition'. The Glasgow Exhibition of 1938 was held in Bellahouston Park with the intention of reviving the Scottish economy.
