St Anthony Lane was one of a number of streets named after the Monastery or Preceptory of St Anthony which stood on the site from the 14th or 15th century until the Reformation. It now links Henderson Street with the Kirkgate Shopping Centre car park, and the buildings shown in the picture have been demolished.
