The photographs in this exhibition were kindly loaned to us by Bill Hall for our digital collections. It contains images dating from the early 1900s to the 1980s, taken across Scotland.
Brought up in Edinburgh he has collected many family photographs and items covering his mother's early years and his own boyhood.
Ratho lies to the west of Edinburgh, with the Union Canal running through it. Ratho is home to the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena. Built in a disused quarry,it is the largest indoor climbing centre in Europe.
