Description
Captain W. E. Gladstone-Millar's copy of a booklet issued to active servicemen in WWI. The symbol (the Burning Bush) and the motto (nec tamen consumeratur - yet it was not consumed) of the Church of Scotland can be seen in the bottom right-hand corner.
Captain W.E. Gladstone-Millar was a divinity graduate and post-war a serving Minister in the Church of Scotland.
