The wolf trap
Description
"Italy: 'You would make me believe that I shall have my cub given back to me, but I know I shall have to fight for it.'"
"The territories, including the Trentino, which Austria offered (May 1915) to cede to Italy to secure the latter's benevolent neutrality, were not to be handed over till after the conclusion of a European peace. Italy argued that, in the event either of the Dual Alliance's victory or of its defeat, she would acquire nothing, but find herself in a dangerous position."
