Portrait of the north entry to the parish kirk of Edinburgh which was taken down in repairing that part of St Giles called Haddows Hole c1799
Description
A recessed doorway in St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh. The arched top of the doorway is surrounded by rich carvings of patterns, faces and animals. The doorway is flanked by three columns supporting the arched carved sections. Through the open door we can see the bottom of a staircase.
