Morham, George
Biography
George Morham was the son of Robert Morham of 13 Lauder Road, Grange. His brother Robert Morham (junior) became Edinburgh City Architect in 1878. He married Jessie Buchanan in 1877 and had a son and four daughters.
George was a civil engineer and surveyor, having his own practice at 34 St Andrew Square c.1880. He was then living at 17 Findhorn Place, but moved to 7 North Mansionhouse Road by 1890. In the early 1890s his practice moved to 39 George Street before finally settling at 29 Hanover Street in the very early 1900s.
Morham was a keen photographer, taking many photos of his family and work life. He was also a keen astronomer having studied it at University and kept up the interest throughout his life.
