The capital of a pillar in St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh has a carving of a minstrel with a crown playing a lute. There is other carved stone decoration around the pillar.

The Moray aisle was created in 1830, by combining three existing aisles. It is named after the regent Moray, the half-brother of Mary Queen of Scots who was assassination in 1570.
