Sixteen different geometric patterns from several parts of the Alhambra; The Hall of the Boat (1), the Hall of the Ambassadors (2, 5, 14 and 15), the Court of the Lions (3 and 8), the Hall of the Two Sisters (4, 12 and 16), the Courts of the Mosque (6, 9 and 10), the Hall of the Abencerrages (7 and 13), the Court of the Fish Pond (11). Jones thought that the view of the ornaments gathered in this plate would justify the superiority of Moorish ornament, achieved by using only the primary colours and following each of the 'universal principles'.
