This map has highlighted sites at Port Hopetoun on Lothian Road, the site beside the Museum of Science and Art on Chambers Street, and a site close to the Usher Hall's actual site, but on the other side of the Lyceum Theatre on Spittal Street. This map is contained within a bound document dated 4th July 1898, which also contains a document and map relating to another proposed site at the west corner of the Meadows.
