Prior to the Battle of Prestonpans in 1745, Bonnie Prince Charlie held a council of war in small house on the cobbled Causeway of Duddingston Village, just outside the city of Edinburgh. Through the years the house fell into disrepair until it was renovated in the mid 60s. It is now a private dwelling.
