This page is taken from the 'Guide to the Scottish Zoological Park', c1968. It also contains 'simple rules' for visitors whilst inside the zoo park including:
Don't blow whistles in the Park. (This is a signal between Keepers.)
Comply with all 'Danger' notices. (Even though animals look harmless).
Don't go inside barriers, or climb on them. (They are there for your protection.)
Don't throw litter about. (There's always a refuse-basket near at hand).
Children, don't carry sticks. (They can lead to foolish actions.)
Don't walk around with radio sets in operation. (Other visitors may not want to listen.)
