Paisley Close, 101 High Street, Edinburgh, Showing the inscription 'Heave Awa chaps I'm no dead yet'. This stone carving refers to the incident in 1861 when on nearby Bailie Fyfe's Close a 250 year old tenement building collapsed killing 35 people. One boy, Joseph McIver, was heard to be calling out to the rescuers and was pulled from the rubble. The inscription records the words he is said to have cried to the rescuers.
