Description
The brutes are certainly making enough noise, if they don't do much damage. It seems quite like old times to be back at this game again - the difference being, that here we have "cover" & in the Dubrodja never had, &, it does make a difference!

18th Feb: "S.W." Hostel.
The event of to-day, was of course, our Inspection by the King & Queen at Buckingham Palace. That little fray seems to me, worthy of note! Well, to begin at the beginning! We mustered at
the S.W.H. office, Victoria St. at 10a.m. & marched "as a body" to the Palace. On our arrival there, we were lined up in two rows & shivered & shook for fully an hour, in front of the main door in to the Palace. It was cold! At 11.30 punctual, their majesties appeared & jolly glad we were to see them too, after our long, chillsome wait! The King was in khaki of course, looking very old & care-worn. The Queen was enveloped in sables from head to foot (& how we envied her & wished we were also in cased in sables!.) Both were very charming indeed. Our officers were presented to them, & they talked to them for a little & then marched down our lines
