Name

Biography
Pseudo-Bewick is a name given to a particular unidentified artist whose Dance of Death was published in The Portfolio magazine between 1824 and 1825 by William Charlton Wright. Charlton Wright stated that the prints were completed by 'Mr. Bewick', but both of the Bewick brothers (to one of whom Charlton Wright probably referred) denied having made the series. Central Library's Dance of Death Collection includes a copy of Pseudo-Bewick's series.
