Description
Mrs. Haverfield is of course going with them. Lilias & I are among the "12" greys & are of course awfully pleased, as we'll be more in the middle of things than ever up there & it promises to be most interesting. I am very sorry indeed to leave Dr. Inglis & some of my special "pals" here - but one can't get everything one wants! The others here are going under canvas as soon as the tents are pitched, as our granary is required for patients, a good thing too - no one will be sorry to see the last of it as a "camping ground"!
Such a surprise, a mail bag arrived last night .It just saved us, we were all at the "end of our tether", but the sight of a mail bag bucked us up no end, & altho' dead-weary, we sat up ½ the night reading the home letters & newspapers. This must do for the present, as duty calls. My next will be from "up the line" I expect. This is terribly disjointed but it's been written at odd times; just whenever I could find a minute. We've lost all count of days & dates, each days seems much the same as another, work, work, work, but we're all O.K.!/
