here as long as possible. Heavy fighting is going on very near here & wounded pouring in & no arrangements made for them. They are terribly in need of Red X. Units, it is truely [truly] pitiable how few there are, no Hospitals to speak of & oh so many wounded. From what we hear things are going very badly indeed & the Rumanians appear to be allowing the Bulgars just a little too much of their own way & are making a very poor stand.
I wonder why the Rumanians came in to the thing? I suppose they think the Serbs & Russians will do all the fighting for them - well it remains to be seen, what will be the end of it all - at present things do not look over hopeful & the news is decidedly bad.
All Sunday & Monday we spent getting the equipment conveyed from the train to the building which we have got for a Hospital. This building is a huge barracks & stands high up on the hill overlooking the town & away down the Chernavoda [Cernavoda] valley. It is a magnificant [magnificent] situation with a glorious view.
