The old (or auld) Brig O'Doon is a mediaeval bridge which crosses over the river Doon, situated in Alloway, South Ayrshire. The bridge is most famous for being part of the setting for Robert Burns's poem Tam O'Shanter, where Tam rides his horse Meg over the bridge to escape from witches.
