Description

Through ornamental wrought iron gates, paths lead to Dunsyre House tower block. The area in front of the building is fenced and grassed. Large street lights illuminate the entrance forecourt. Dunsyre House is one of three 12 storey flats in the Calder area of Edinburgh.

The last of the three Calders multi-stories to be completed in 1970 by Crudens. Like the others it takes its name from a hill in the Pentlands. Like them too it has 136 flats : 40 two apartments and 96 three apartments. It was reclad and upgraded in the late 1980s.
