Title
Two horse-drawn appliances and fire crews on call out
Description
Two horse-drawn appliances and fire crews gallop down Lauriston Place, Edinburgh. The machine in front is a Tullis Russell Steam Pump and it's being pulled by three horses whilst steam belches from it. Three firemen stand on top, the middle of which is holding a long whip. The appliance at the back is carrying ladders and is pulled by two horses. The firemen are all wearing uniforms including Merryweather helmets. Georgian town houses can be seen in the background.
