This portrait bust was the first commission of the Jean F.Watson panel, honouring Miss Watson's gift 1961 of a substantial sum of money to form a collection of Scottish art.
By permission of Chiara Clare Schilska.
Eric Schilsky was the Head of the School of Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art from 1945 to 1969, and was a renowned portrait sculptor, being elected to both the Royal Academy in London and the Royal Scottish Academy.
